I ordered a cake from Pastry and Pieces for my daughter and it was very disappointing. I ordered the cake in early December for first week of January so there was plenty of notice and time given. Chef was shown a picture of the design and it was agreed on, with some minor changes to the colour scheme. When I picked up the cake last weekend I was so disappointed to see that the decorative lining at the base was not done, the butter cream icing was not smooth with parts of the cake was still visible. The decorative cross that I wanted done in fondant was very poor quality with no attention paid to the details, not even straight lines. When I expressed my disappointment to the lady who handed me the cake, her response was Sorry I didnt take the order, so I dont know. When I asked about the missing decoration, I was told the Chef did not have the tools for it. All they wouldve needed was a turn table and nozzle.On top of all this the sponge cake was dry. Waste of money. I wouldve been better off decorating a cake from Woolies or Coles, myself.
Was able to order a cake on short notice to wanting it. And it was delicious :) and very inexpensive. Thank you
Food and drinks were nice, venue was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable. Only downside was that it was very busy and no clear waiting line to stand in. Once we ordered, the food came quickly :)
The coffee is rarely good, but it was drinkable. Food was OK. Service could be a lot better. Why is there only 1 menu per 4-seater table? Staff were moderate.
I hope the clovers enjoyed my coffee this morning because I sure didn't... no consistency
